We are delighted to announce that registrations for the 2019 UKASFP Conference are now open! The conference is taking place on the beautiful main campus of Bath Spa University, on 11th-12th July.  There are also pre-conference workshops available on 10th July.

Start and End Times

10th July - Pre-Conference Workshops - 10.30am - 4.30pm
11th July - Registration from 9am - Conference start time 10.30am
12th July - Conference ends 4.30pm

Fees

We are also delighted to announce that the conference fees are at the startlingly low £125 for UKASFP members/students/unwaged, and £155 for non-members.  For a two-day conference of the highest quality, with refreshments, lunches and a Thursday night barbecue provided, and the option of a pre-conference workshop with only a nominal extra charge to cover the cost of refreshments.

Pre-conference workshop information

Pre-Conference Workshop 1 - An SF introductory workshop with Guy Shennan and Rob Black. This workshop is FREE for conference attendees with a nominal charge of £6 to cover the cost of refreshments.

Pre-Conference Workshop 2 - A workshop with the Zebra Collective. This workshop is FREE for conference attendees with a nominal charge of £6 to cover the cost of refreshments.

Please note the 2 workshops run simultaneously so only 1 should be selected to attend when making your booking.

Conference Fringe

2019 is seeing the beginnings of a Conference Fringe. The wonderful singer-songwriter - and UKASFP Committee member - Alun Parry - is playing a gig in Bath on the evening of 10th July, to launch his new album. A great way to start the conference! Book your fringe tickets here but hurry, this is sure to sell out.

Accommodation options

There is plentiful accommodation in Bath. We have also secured 60 rooms at the conference venue itself. These are student rooms on the Newton Park campus, where breakfast is included. Details of how to book these are below. We also have 40 rooms available in student accommodation at Green Park House in Bath city centre, which is room only. The conference venue at Bath Spa University’s main Newton Park campus is four miles out from the city centre, and there will be a complimentary return bus service from Green Park House to venue, for conference participants.  Please see full information and how to book here.
