| I offer support to individuals, parents and schools relating to emerging learning; behaviour; social, communication and emotional difficulties impacting on achievement. The solution-focused approach supports Inclusion; helps build resilience and self-efficacy. Solution-focused conversations with parents can improve parental engagement and pupil achievement. I have 14 years' experience in using the solution-focused approach. I have trained with BRIEF and have their practitioner certificate. I am an accredited practitioner with the United Kingdom Association for Solution Focused Practice. (UKASFP) I have teaching experience in mainstream, special education and pupil referral units. I have experience as an advisory teacher and as a senior advisory teacher within educational psychology services. I offer: INSET in the solution-focused approach. SF consultation, supervision and coaching. Solution-focused coaching with pupils, which can be 1 or 2 sessions or a more comprehensive solution focused intervention, usually 6 sessions with individuals in school. Whole class intervention based on the Solution-focused approach with reference to Working On What Works (WOWW) developed by Insoo Kim Berg and Lee Shiltz. A solution focused Circle of Friends to schools to support individuals and groups and promote inclusion. INSET and support to schools to develop individual "Kids' Skills" intervention http://www.kidskills.org Support "Kids' Skills" � so that schools can enable those children experiencing difficulties to develop the skills that will prevent later exclusion. |
