Working Together for Change: Solution-Focused Practice in Employment Support

 

 

Alex Ashida is the founder and director of Green Tree Therapy Limited, an organisation dedicated to integrating solution-focused practice into employment support and mental wellbeing services. With extensive experience in therapeutic interventions, coaching, and collaborative partnerships, Alex has worked with employment support providers across Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire, including Sheffield and Barnsley Council, The Growth Company, Maximus, and Reed.  The Green Tree Therapy team supports individuals facing employment barriers, delivering solution-focused interventions in partnership with major programmes such as the Restart Scheme, helping participants overcome personal and professional challenges to re-enter the workforce with a renewed sense of purpose.  Passionate about collaboration and real-world impact, Alex brings together service providers, employment specialists, and service users to showcase how solution-focused approaches can create meaningful change. Their panel at the UKASFP Conference 2025 will highlight the power of multi-agency partnerships and lived experience in shaping effective employment and wellbeing support systems.
